Boomstar is a return to the raw power and purity of non-programmable discrete analog, where STUDIO ELECTRONICS started in 1985 with the Midimoog. Expect a quickening snap and solid punch from all models' hardware envelopes. The SE80 filter, inspired by the Yamaha CS-80, is untouchable for drum sound creation, thanks to its dual-resonant filter, which also makes it the most vocal of the lot; the hi-pass resonance is the place to look for that vowel-y playfulness.
